2017 marks 350 years since the birth of the author Jonathan Swift, whose works often contemplated the ‘scientific revolution’ which occurred during his lifetime. Greg Lynall demonstrates how Swift’s satirical fantasy, Gulliver’s Travels can help us to understand science and its role in modern society.
